This is How CEO Turned Standup Comedian Atul Khatri decided to be a Stand-up Comic

Atul Khatri also known as Horny Sindhi has registered himself as a successful comedian and a well known you tube personality. Atul Khatri story is a risk defined process as at a time he owned a very successful business and then left it and rose as a stand-up comedian and took another successful career. He became the only Indian to perform in the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival. He is one of the members of East India Comedy.

Arun Khatri always wanted to do on a different platform despite of being a successful businessman and running everything well in his life when he opted out for a very different career, much different from his previous platform. He left his well settled business and registered for the first open mic and tried his hands on stand-up comedy and then he never looked back.

Atul Khatri in an interview stated that, it was my New Year resolution of 2012. I was 44, running a very successful business but still wanted to do something different in my life. You could also call it mid-life crisis. So I registered for the first open mic of 2012. It was on February 2, 2012. I wrote a set but didn’t tell anyone except my wife. I  took her along so that I don’t commit suicide on the way back (if I bombed)! Then I went on stage and did stand-up for the first time ever in my life.

Atul Khatri has now his own views on stand-up comedy. According to him, it’s always personal and comes from personal stories. He finds subjects and expands on it.

Atul Khatri despite knowing that he has a family to run and was earning well in his business, he dropped everything and became a stand-up comedian, a thing he always wanted to do.

  • Risks could make you better only if you work hard.
  • What you ought to do, always believe in that.
  • Expanding yourself to the world is always a better feeling.
