Subhas Chandra Bose, an icon of Patriotism and the Hero of India. Subhas Chandra Bose was the leader of the younger radical wing of Indian National Congress. His differences with Mahatma Gandhi and Congress High Command led him out of the Congress party. He was placed under house arrest by British before escaping India.
Subhas Chandra Bose was born in Cuttack and was the ninth son in fourteen children’s. When Subhas Chandra Bose started his studies, he came out to be an expert. His headmaster believed that how brilliant the boy was. He was a genius.
Subhas Chandra Bose left for England with a promise to his father that he would go into Indian Civil Services but on the other side, he was selected but never wanted to work for the British Government and thus he resigned from ICS and returned to India.
Subhas Chandra Bose started Swaraj, Newspaper and took charge of publicity of Bengal Provincial Congress Committee and later joined the nationalist movement on which he was arrested and later released and afterwards worked with Jawahar Lal Nehru for Independence.
Subhas Chandra Bose wanted the use of force against the British and this created a rift between him and Mahatma Gandhi, who opposed Bose’s presidency. Gandhi wanted Bose to form his own cabinet which led to the rift between Bose and Nehru too following which he resigned from Congress presidency.
5Outbreak of War
On the outbreak of war, Subhas Chandra Bose protested against Viceroy’s decision to declare war on India as he advocated a mass campaign of civil disobedience. Subhas Chandra Bose move was done without consulting the congress leadership. He organised a mass protests in Calcutta during which he was arrested but was released following a seven day hunger strike.
Subhas Chandra Bose arrest and release made his way for escape and to escape, Subhas Chandra Bose disguised himself as Pathan so that he couldn’t be identified and he escaped from under British surveillance.
7Germany To Japan
Subhas Chandra Bose made a successful escape and crossed Afghanistan via Kabul to the border with Soviet Russia and in the mean time he disguised himself and travelled to Moscow and from there to Germany and from there, Bose left for Japan.
8Indian National Army
Though INA was the brainchild of Japanese High Command but later Subhas Chandra Bose handled the responsibility of INA that had major operations. INA had a separate women’s unit which made it different from other units.
Sources reported that the death of Subhas Chandra Bose was caused after his overloaded Japanese plane crashed and Bose suffered third degree burns. After his death, several conspiracy theories surrounded his death.
Though it was believed that Bose had died in the plane crash and that he has not actually was a dead person and many be living somewhere hiding himself. The Netaji Files were declined declassification.
