Our Former Indian President, APJ Abdul Kalam who was an inspiration to all Indians and whose life was dedicated in making India. The man himself was a book, a book of knowledge, a book of achievements. He was praised by everyone, he was loved by everyone. He worked as a scientist and a science administrator at DRDO and ISRO.

1Childhood and Early Life
APJ Abdul Kalam was born in a Tamil Muslim Family. He spent his early childhood in Rameshwaram. His father was a boat owner who used to take Hindu pilgrims back and forth between Rameshwaram. He was the youngest of four brothers.
2Trouble and Hardships
With the opening of Pamban bridge, his father’s business got affected and failed. The family fortune and the properties were lost over the time apart from the ancestral home and all of a sudden, the family became poor and the fight for survival begun.
At an very early age, APJ Abdul Kalam took a step out to support his family on financial terms. As he was done with the school, he used to distribute newspapers to support his father and financial condition. He sold newspapers to supplement his family’s income.
4A hardworking student
APJ Abdul Kalam was a passionate and an hardworking student and also a bright one who had a strong desire to learn new things. Mathematics was his favorite subject. Abdul Kalam was the student who spent hours on studies. He later graduated in Physics.
5A.P.J. Abdul Kalam – As a Scientist
APJ Abdul Kalam joined the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) as a scientist. He designed a small hovercraft but was unhappy with his job at DRDO. Later he was transferred to Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) which was his major breakthrough.
6High Career Stage
APJ Abdul Kalam was the project director of India’s first Satellite launch, SLV-III which successfully destroyed the Rohini satellite. Also acted as a representative of Smiling Buddha which was the first nuclear test to be conducted. He also served as the chief scientific advisor.
7As the President of India
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam won the election of President with a high number of Votes. He became the eleventh President of India, backed by parties like National Congress and Samajwadi Party. He was the first ever scientist who has taken the seat of Raashtrapati Bhawan.
8Education and Students
After A.P.J. Abdul Kalam retired from the post of scientific advisor, his main mission was to interact with students, as many as can. In them, he found a way to ignite their mind for and towards the development of India.
9The End Time
While delivering a lecture at IIM Shillong, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam suffered a heart attack and his condition became critical. After he was shifted to Bethany Hospital, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam died of a cardiac arrest.
